THE PLACES

The corners, blocks, and buildings that hold this neighborhood’s memory.

Every neighborhood has places that don’t look like much from the outside but mean everything to the people who have lived near them for years. The corner where something happened that the whole block remembers. The church that has anchored the same street for sixty years through every wave of change. The carryout where the same man has been behind the counter since before most of the neighborhood’s children were born. This series is not a guide for visitors. It is an inventory of belonging — the physical landmarks of West Price Hill life that residents carry inside them, now written down so they cannot be forgotten.
